Greg has a passion for transformational leadership and helping organizations navigate growth, change, and lasting impact.
Greg recently retired as President and Chief Operating Officer of the American Cancer Society, one of the world’s leading nonprofit health organizations. Throughout his distinguished career in healthcare and nonprofit leadership, Greg provided executive oversight to a global organization with nearly $1 billion in annual revenue, more than 3 million volunteers, 6,000 employees, and a worldwide footprint.
During his tenure with the American Cancer Society, Greg was a key architect behind one of the most significant nonprofit transformations and mergers in U.S. history, helping reshape the organization for greater operational effectiveness, innovation, and long-term impact. His leadership experience spans organizational transformation, executive strategy, operational leadership, and change management at the highest levels of nonprofit leadership.
Following his retirement from the American Cancer Society, Greg continues to serve as a consultant and executive coach, partnering with leaders and organizations to help guide strategic growth, organizational development, and transformational leadership initiatives. He is passionate about equipping leaders to navigate complexity while maintaining mission focus and organizational health.
Greg also remains deeply committed to service and community leadership. He currently serves on multiple boards, including as Chairman of the Board for Memorial Healthcare, Memorial Health System, and Spring Arbor University.
Greg has dedicated his career to helping mission-driven organizations create meaningful and lasting impact through strong leadership, strategic vision, and servant-hearted influence. Greg resides in Owosso, Michigan with his wife Karen.
